How SEO can aid your offline promotion

Radio ExposureLast week we wrote about how one of our clients participated in a local SEO Liverpool Search Engine Optimisation Liverpool radio show following the show’s researchers finding their website in Google and approaching them direct. This meant that our client’s website was talked about on the radio, during a very relevant radio talk show, for around 10 minutes in the sort of coverage that would have cost a lost of money had it been paid for – all because of the power of SEO.

This shows that search engine optimisation isn’t just about getting your website to rank higher in Google for specific keywords in order to gain more traffic and customers.

Instead, SEO can aid your efforts to gain more offline promotion because the Internet is used by many people, including radio shows, TV researchers and journalists, to research their latest stories and programs. When they look for information, leads for stories and for experts to consult, they’ll enter keywords related to your industry into Google. If your website ranks near the top of Google for these keywords, then your website will be the one they find – increasing the chances of them contacting you for the story.

This could lead to your brand being exposed on the radio, on television, in magazines or in newspapers – gaining you the kind of exposure that money can’t buy.

Of course, in a sort of perpetual motion (if such a thing were possible) the example of online SEO aiding your offline promotion can then re-aid your online SEO as news agencies pick up on the story of how SEO has aided your offline promotion.

How many times can the wheels go round?

StuckOn client appears on radio talk show

SEO isn’t just about increasing your rankings within search engines and getting more traffic via Google (although of course it’s pretty good for that). No, with SEO you can also open up other avenues for promotion for your website, such as print, television and radio.

Earlier this week, the website CSAhell.com was represented by our very own Darren Jamieson on a SEO Liverpool Search Engine Optimisation Liverpool and North West based talk show hosted by DJ Pete Price. The talk show aired on Tuesday night on both Radio City (96.7FM) and City Talk (105.9FM) just after 10pm, and centred around the subject of the website, the CSA (Child Support Agency).

During the show, Pete Price requested that people who had experienced problems with the CSA phone in and share their experiences with the listeners. Pete also featured some ‘expert’ callers on the subject, including our CTO speaking about the CSAhell.com website. Darren explained why the website was first created and how it has grown over the few short years it has been live to the extent that it now offers advice to thousands of people each month. He added that, because the website (more…)

StuckOn the band?

To some users of Facebook it may have appeared this last week that we at StuckOn have formed our own band and started to pen some rock ‘classics’. However, this isn’t the case – it’s simply a case of ‘what’s in a name?’.

A group of people have decided that the name StuckOn, as well as being a great name for an Internet Marketing agency, is also a suitable name for a band. They have their own (albeit very new) Facebook fan page which features photos of the band in action, such as this photo here.

The photo depicts the three members of StuckOn, Ilija Kurteski, (more…)
